FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT FOR ARTS MANAGERS

FREE Miziwe Biik Aboriginal Employment and Training Workshop Dec 11th

TIME: 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM

LOCATION:  Native Canadian Centre – Talking Room,

 

This workshop will offer you a taste of the various elements of financial management.   This
introductory session will offer information on developing a project
budget, bookkeeping systems, projecting cash flow, moving beyond
‘project-by-project’ funding and looking at financial statements and
audits.  Participants will be introduced to a number of
standard financial documents plus will be offered tools and direction
for further development.  Specialists Pat Bradley and
Lascelle Wingate, together will bring a vast amount of knowledge,
skills and expertise to present this workshop.   Pat
Bradley is presently the Theatre Officer and Compass Officer at the
Ontario Arts Council, an instructor at the Schulich Business School at
York University and a board president of CADAC.  Lascelle Wingate is presently working as a free-lance consultant specializing in mentorship, operation and financial planning.
