Join the TDSB in partnership with the Native Canadian Centre of Toronto for an Aboriginal Veterans’ Sunrise Ceremony & Community Breakfast

Breakfast to follow.
Greet the new day and honour the contribution of Aboriginal veterans.
We will gather outside at the sacred fire as the sun rises.

The evening will include panel discussion and smaller circles focused on the experiences and issues connected to First Nation, Métis and Inuit communities and urban education for both Aboriginal and Non-Aboriginal people. We will examine our collective responsibility for making change in the education system. Session is open to community members, advocacy organizations and classroom teachers.

    with performances scheduled to start at 7 pm and run through to
    9:30pm.  The evening is by donation and all are invited to attend.
